BULLS going to WCKG is the word on the street. WSCR finally realized there's no more room on their airways! So it's now in the hands of Mini-Mitch: Drew! Phew!

Can they put the Blackhawks on WCKG while they're at it?

WCKG to broadcast Bulls games

October 17, 2005, 7:00 PM CDT

The Bulls and WCKG-FM have agreed to a four-year deal for the Bulls radio broadcast rights beginning with the 2006-07 season.

All 82 regular season games, all playoff games and three pre-season games will be aired on WCKG (105.9), which is owned by Infinity Broadcasting.

In a press release, the Bulls also said that the team will take over "all aspects relating to the production of game broadcasts and the sale of advertising inventory for those broadcasts."

WCKG will be the Bulls' flagship station through the 2009-10 season. All 2005-06 games will be aired on ESPN Radio 1000; that contract expires at the end of the season.

The house that Michael built is gettins shoved under the FM rug.
The inept Cubs at least built their media empire by reaching out nationally---50K watt clear channel radio helps you do that. Im an OTR hick that doesnt like to stream and just for the record, cracker stations make for a weak "Bulls RadioNetwork".

ok, heres a hint, Infinity or Bulls Marketing genius(es) if you got bull-balls and common sense:
Put the Bulls on Newsradio78 , ckg them only on Bears days.
Doesnt 6 championships earn a franchise that kind of respect? (probably not....thanks krause and floyd)

Maybe Wirz will get some Fighting Illini/560 wisdom and move the Hawks to 820 nites (we can only hope).
